Two members of Jaggu Bhagwan Puria group arrested in Jandiala in a cross firing

Amritsar : Punjab police have succeeded to arrest two members of notorious Jaggu Bhagwan Puria gang here today with the recovery of arms, ammunition and drug consignment.

In a late night here today,  police informed the media about the arrest of two notorious criminals who were arrested after a heavy exchange of gunfire.

Alleged accused broke a checkpoint in Jandiala and Police chased them for 11 kilometers. They fired at the police party all along and finally were nabbed near Wadala Jihal drain, said police.

The arrested accused were identified as Gurbhej Singh and Shamsher Singh both residents of Tarn Taran district.

At the time of arrest both the alleged accused were possessing two kilograms Heroin (drug) and one automatic pistol of 30 bore caliber.

Gurbhej was already involved in the three murder cases, said police.
