Amritsar, April 17- Two unidentified accused attacked a BJP leader, the General Secretary of SC wing at Jandiala Guru twenty five kilometers away from here.

Confirming the attack on BJP leader who was identified as Balwinder Gill, Superintendent of police Jugraj Singh said, “Last night two unidentified assailants face-covered came at his residence, one entered inside the house, whereas one accused stayed outside. On gaining entry inside the house, one accused fired at Balwinder Gill from point blank range and a bullet hit on his jaw and escaped away.   Immediately after the incident Gill was shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition worsened and again shifted to one of the private hospital in Amritsar”.  

Adding further SP said that the accused were yet to be identified as various police teams were working on it and shortly be arrested as police have collected vital clues on the spot.
