World class incubator to be established in Haryana to boost Semiconductor manufacturing

Gurugram: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini interacted with the entrepreneurs on Thursday and stressed on encouraging startups to promote semiconductor manufacturing and make Haryana a global capability center. He called upon industrialists and urged them to use CSR funds in health services. CM said Haryana moving towards industrial development and speed up industrial development in the state and assured startups would be especially encouraged. While interacting with media Saini said that a world-class incubator will be established in collaboration with the leading startups, corporates and educational institutions of the state, will have state-of-the-art facilities for startups in line with the central government’s vision of making the country a semiconductor hub.

The Chief Minister said the Haryana government will also formulate a dedicated policy to promote semiconductor manufacturing in the state. The state government aims to develop the whole of Haryana, including Gurugram as the global capability center capital of the world, and the government will also formulate a special policy for global capability centers. Speaking at a dialogue programme organised by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC), the Chief Minister said that the world-class incubator to be set up in the state would have infrastructure including dedicated plug and play workspaces, meeting rooms, high performance computing resources, dedicated innovation labs with latest equipment to carry out research in emerging technologies, prototyping centres etc enabling the state’s startups will be able to start cutting-edge research and development activities.

The Chief Minister said Haryana is working on preparing a new industrial policy and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for developing the country through ‘Make in India’ and ‘Design in India’ policy, and on the same lines the state government has also set the goal of a developed Haryana. The Chief Minister called upon all the industrialists to ‘Make in Haryana’ and ‘Design in Haryana’ on the same lines. Saini said 10 new IMTs are being developed in the state, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art industrial and startup infrastructure. For this, about 20 thousand acres of land has been voluntarily offered by the land owners on the e-Bhoomi portal. He assured Industries will get all kinds of facilities from the government under one roof. The state government is equipping a district level hospital with modern facilities on the lines of private hospitals. He called upon industrialists to use CSR funds to strengthen the social sector, especially health services.

The Chief Minister Nayab Saini said that Haryana ranks seventh at the national level in terms of the number of startups and more than 9,100 recognized startups are operating in the state, of which 50 percent of the startups are women-led. He said to strengthen startups, incubation centers will be set up in all the industrial estates of the state, so that startups can get guidance, resources and networking support at the local level. Also, state-of-the-art AI hubs are being set up in Gurugram and Panchkula.

State Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh also present at the occasion said Haryana will play an important role in making a developed nation, just as the Green Revolution made the country self-reliant and the farmers provided food grains not only to the country but also to other poor countries, similarly now there is a need for expansion of industries and development of new technology. If the country has to become a developed nation by 2047 as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then we will have to move ahead rapidly in the field of industry and technology. Saini said Haryana is also working rapidly towards industrial development. The budget of industries has been increased by 126 percent. Last year the budget was about Rs 800 crore, which has now been increased to more than Rs 1800 crore. He assured the industrialists that the Haryana government will provide you with every facility. In the coming times, Haryana will play a leading role in making the country a developed nation.

Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal also addressed the dialogue program. During the program, Denso Haryana Private Limited presented two state-of-the-art fire tenders to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma were present in the program.
