Trinamool leader meets Rajnath, discusses budget session, JNU row

NEW DELHI: Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy today met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, days ahead of the start of the budget session of Parliament.

Roy is believed to have discussed about the forthcoming budget session besides other issues.

The ongoing JNU row is also said to come up for discussion between the two leaders. The meeting came a day after students of Jadavpur University staged protests, raised anti-national slogans similar to those during the JNU incident which had led to the arrest of students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar. — PT
