2 arrested with Rs 3.5 lakh fake currency notes

Ambala (Satish Handa): On a clue that two youths are moving in a car trying to sell fake currency with them near railway station Ambala Cantt, Special Task Force of Ambala police held a trap under the highway over bridge opposite railway station Ambala Cantt when in the meantime police team saw a Swift car in which two youths were sitting late evening on way to Ambala City and gave them signal to stop the vehicle but youths attempted to increase the speed of vehicle. However, police chased them and caught both youths and on checking recovered 176 fake currency notes of value Rs 2000 each from car dash board.

Kulbhushan DSP STF told that he arrested youths were identified as Pankaj alias  Pinkyson of a political leader Rajesh Sharma resident of Maya Wala Chowk on Rambagh Road and Sagar resident of Teli Mandi Ambala Cantt driiiiiving the car having registration number HR01Ap-7425 in the name of some one else. A case was registered against both youths under sections 489, 489B, 489C and 420 IPC. Both were produced in the court on Friday and remanded to police custody for three days.. During preliminary investigation youths admitted printing fake currency notes during night hours to meet the demand of drugs and will to become rich. According to police information necessary machines including computer, scanner and printer has been seized by the police which was being used for preparing fake currency notes.
