Some people live in India but sympathize with Pakistan
Ambala: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Anil Vij took a dig at Punjab regarding the release of water, saying, “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann initially stopped the water, and when his people objected—stating that it goes against Punjab’s cultural values and he was being opposed everywhere—he reopened it. Punjab has a longstanding culture of offering water to others through ‘Chhabeels’ (community water stalls). But the Punjab CM had deprived Haryana of its rightful share of water.” Vij emphasized the importance of water, stating, “We know very well how much we need water.” He also remarked that the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) political mileage is over, which is why they decided to open the water supply again. Regarding spying activities for Pakistan, Vij said that “Be cautious of traitors hiding in your own home.”
Vij was responding to questions asked by the Media persons. In response to a question regarding the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and others involved in spying for Pakistan, Vij said that people involved in espionage for Pakistan are being caught in Haryana, Punjab, and other states as well. He called it a serious threat, citing a lyric that says, “Be cautious of traitors hiding in your own home.”
When asked about the opposition’s allegations related to Operation Sindoor and the conflict with Pakistan, Vij responded that the information about the conflict was officially shared by senior Army officers in a press conference. He questioned, “If the opposition is not accepting this information, do they not trust the Army? Are they implying the Army is lying?” He remarked that the role of the opposition is to oppose, but even after such a major success—where the Indian Army destroyed terrorist hideouts, Pakistan’s airbases, and disrupted its systems—they are still giving contradictory statements daily. He criticized them, saying, “Some people live in India but sympathize with Pakistan.”
Vij said the opposition does not want to see India happy under any circumstance. He praised the Indian Army for its precise strikes and its success in destroying terrorist camps in Pakistan, saying that such accomplishments should be recognized worldwide. He lamented that the opposition is unwilling to see India prosper and accused them of maligning the country and boosting the morale of foreign adversaries.
