Adani group to set up Food Processing unit in Haryana

Adani group is going to set up a Food Processing unit in an 80 acre area on Gohana-Kharkhoda road in Sonipat district on which amount between Rs 1500-1600 crore will be spent. Talking to the media persons, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that the proposed unit will produce essential commodity products including wheat flour, oils , ghee, a variety of biscuits & confectionery and other food products. Chautala said, Haryana state government has also launched ‘One District, Product Product’ scheme to boost small scale manufacturers in the state in which state government will also assist such entrepreneurs in sale, branding and packaging their products.

Chautala said that industrial investment in the state is fast rising and some time ago Maruti Suzuki has started commissioning of their manufacturing unit in 800 acres area at IMT Kharkhoda and another plant in 100 acre area in the same complex by Suzuki. He said, the state government is getting a large number of proposals for industrial investment in the state. He said that export business in the state has witnessed growth identified as Rs 2,45,453 crore during the year 2022-23. He said that 1,59,622  new MSME units have been set up in the state with the investment of Rs 18,422 crore providing employment to nearly 12.60 lakh persons in the state.

Deputy CM told media persons that the state government has already developed a medical devices park at Panipat and a bulk drugs park at Hisar. He said, under thePadma scheme launched in the state mini clusters to promote ‘One District One Product’ scheme there is proposal to develop clusters in 143 blocks across the state and during the first phase work to set up 40 clusters have already started. Chautala said that a multi model logistic hub has been set up in an 886 acre area at Narnaul with the investment of 700 million US dollar.
