BJP-led government in Haryana a champion in rising unemployment: Rahul Gandhi

Panipat : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi strongly condemned the ruling BJP in alliance with JJP government in Haryana state on the rising inflation and unemployment among youths during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ at Panipat in Haryana on Friday late afternoon.

While addressing a huge gathering he raised high question over rising unemployment in Haryana state. He said people also in small and medium weaving industries of Panipat, earlier a flourishing sector today facing decline and youths working in this industry are jobless. He said unemployment in Haryana state at present has been identified as 38%, highest in the country. He said, ruling government in the state has been unsuccessful to control rising prices of all essential commodities.

Rahul Gandhi raised a siren at the historic Panipat field for Congress victory in 2024 polls in the country assuring beneficial schemes for the welfare people living below poverty line, farmers and laborers to help them financially putting amount worth Rs 72000 in their bank accounts every year. Rahul Gandhi also interacted with people directly during rally. He was accompanied by senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge Congress National President, Udaibhan State Congress President and the former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Among others present on the stage were Kumari Shelja,  Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Choudhary. Rahul Gandhi appreciated the role of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to strengthen party network in Haryana state. Information also reveals that prior to this senior Congress had also addressed rallies at Panipat ground which include former Prime Minister Late Smt. Indira Gandhi had in 1978, followed by a rallies led by late Rajiv Gandhi in 1987 and by Smt. Sonia Gandhi in 2008.

While addressing gathering Mallikarjun Kharge said that Panipat has witnessed three historic wars in past and now Rahul Gandhi has arrived to fight war against rising prices and unemployment among youths since the ruling government in the state has completely failed to fulfill their assurances to provide employment to two crore unemployed youths every year besides Rs 15 lakh financial help as well as also assured farmers to double their income. Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing said that Congress will return to power in the country in coming 2024 polls. Udaibhan said that ruling BJP government has sold even railways, airports and privatization in every sector and now people in the country are looking at Congress to come to power for their rescue. Rao Daan Singh controlled the state. The interesting of all was a child Abhimanyu son of Sunil Congress convener at Rohtak, too, joined Rahul Gandhi in ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ without wearing shirt on his body during 6 degree chilling weather.
