Bureacracy neglect toward legislators not be tolerated: Vij

-SATISH HANDA

Since past when Haryana state was being ruled by prominent leaders like Bhajan Lal, Bansi Lal, Om Parkash Chautala, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and presently by Manohar Lal Khatter it is seen that bureaucracy has always ruling over politicians. And now the situation has taken a serious view after several MLAs in the state made a feedback to Gian Chand Gupta Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker a couple of days ago that they are often neglected by bureaucrats in the state, avoid to lift their telephone or mobile phone calls, do not listen to their grievances favourable for state government as well as public seriously and fail to make a response to their calls and give a feed back.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister for Home, Health and Sports Anil Vij came to legislators support and told that as per protocall, the status of a MLA is higher than Chief Secretary in the state and government officers are required to listen to a MLA and solve their grievances seriously in case want to remain in government job in Haryana state. Vij advised bureaucrats to take case of protocall of a MLA. The past scenario of relationship between  bureaucrats and MLAs in Haryana state has always witnessed a controversy that MLAs are always facing neglect by government bureaucrat in Haryana state., which started since Bhupinder Singh Hooda government was ruling in the state. However, no such complaint was received when Om Parkash Chauta was ruling in Haryana but if we look at past over a decade it is often seen that in meetings called by an MLA even a officer of rank SDO does not bother  to attend the same and officers in the rank of SDM or DSP avoid even to receive their telephone or a mobile phone call. Vij while talking to media persons on Friday made a request to government bureaucrats to listen to MLAs grievances and take immeditate  action on the calls to avoid stern action against them.
