Drug above 5 kilogram,  Arms seized at Indo-Pak border village

Amritsar, November 26 – In a joint operation of Border Security Force and Punjab Police seized consignment of drug, arms and ammunition which were smuggled from Pakistan here today at Indo-Pak border village.

In an official statement issued, spokesman of Punjab police said that in a joint operation with BSF 5.240 kilogram heroin (drug) one pistol, two magazines along with 20 live cartridges were seized which were smuggled to India from Pakistan through drone.   In this regard a criminal case under NDPS and Arms and Ammunition was registered at police station Lopokey. Police said that there was specific information with BSF which was shared with police about the smuggling of narcotics and arms from Pakistan through drone. In the light of information a search operation by Punjab b police and BSF was carried out at border village ‘Chak Allah Baksh’, whereupon troops succeeded to seize drugs and arms in the agriculture field.
