Indian Ambassador to USA Taranjit Singh Sandhu pays obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib

Amritsar, August 25 –  Indian Ambassador to the United States of America (USA) Taranjit Singh Sandhu today paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. He was honoured by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

During his visit to Golden Temple Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited SGPC headquarters Teja Singh Samundri Hall named after his grandfather and remembered his elders.

On this occasion, Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is the center of faith for the entire humanity, from where human gets spiritual power. He said that he visits every year to pay obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, to seek blessings of the Guru. He said that his family has a close relationship with the SGPC. He said his elder Teja Singh Samundri contributed greatly during the establishment of SGPC and participated in many morchas (fronts). He said that it is a matter of pride for our family that Teja Singh was a high-ranking leader of the Sikh community.

Speaking further, Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that the present time is the era of technology and the Sikh community should also make more efforts to make students experts in technical education in its educational institutions.

On this occasion, SGPC offical said that it is a great pride for the Sikh community that the grandson of Sikh leader Teja Singh Samundri, Taranjit Singh Sandhu is representing India as Ambassador to the USA.
