Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan in Bengaluru to showcase the future readiness of state to potential investers

Bengaluru: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan  in Bengaluru to showcase the future readiness of Madhya Pradesh to potential investors . He is leading a high-level delegation in a roadshow organized by MPIDC – Madhya Pradesh’s apex industries development body in coordination with MP State Electronics Development Corporation.

The roadshow  was for two days till 24th with one-to-one meetings with key industry captains which included  Ajay Vij, MD Accenture,  Narendra Goenka, AEPC, Ashish Kumar, Arvind Mills,  Vinod Yadav and  Padmanabhan of Shahi Exports amongst  and many others.

The Chief Minister chouhan  hosted a networking dinner wherein 60 plus prominent industrialists from across industry segments participated. They represented sectors like textiles, garments, IT and ITeS, electronics, entertainment, and manufacturing. Over the dinner HCM interacted with them and invited them to explore investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

 Chief Minister Chouhan chaired two sector-specific roundtables focusing on IT, ITeS and ESDM sectors and the Textile and Garments sector, respectively.

During the IT, ITeS and ES the peaceful labour dynamics and enhanced ease of doing business and ease of living which make Madhya Pradesh an ideal destination for the sector. He appealed to youngsters from the state working in Bangalore to come work in Madhya Pradesh. He emphasized that the GoMP is committed to facilitate them through its various initiatives for IT and Start-ups.

The round table on textile and garments was attended by industry leaders from Karnataka and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Many investors commended the garment sector policy and competitive incentive package provided by the state. HCM also assured investors that Madhya Pradesh will develop the required infrastructure for wet processing in the state.

After the roundtable, HCM also held a session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh which saw the participation around  500 senior industry leaders. This session detailed out the world-class infrastructure, availability of skilled labour at competitive rates and lucrative incentive packages available in the state for future investors. He held detailed discussions with 15 industry leaders including, K Ullas Kamat, Director, Wonderla Holidays Limited, Nagaraj, Managing Director, Wistron Infocom Manufacturing.,  Krish Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder (Infosys) &, Chairman, Axilor Ventures, Suresh Nair, National Head, Air Asia Airlines, Sameer Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Jackson Group,  Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director   Volvo Group India,  Manu Gupta and other investors from Indian Toy sector,     PPK Paramasivam,  Managing Director, SCM Group (Chennai Silks) amongst others to explore and discuss potential investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

During meeting CM Chouhan  explained Madhya Pradesh’s sector-specific incentive packages coupled with improved ease of doing business, the state is an ideal destination for the textile and garment industry with the highest investment under the Government of India’s PLI scheme and the state’s peaceful labour dynamics, an abundance of skilled labour and ease of living make MP an emerging destination for the services sector like IT.

The government of Madhya Pradesh is hosting their bi-annual global investment summit in Indore on the 11th and 12th of January, 2023, to realize the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Atma Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh and to bring Madhya Pradesh among India’s top 5 GDP contributors. HCM invited the investor community to attend the upcoming summit.
