Officers face action in 25 illegal registrations in 115 acres ‘Panchayat’ land

Investigation by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ambala as regard 25 illegal registrations by Ambala Cantt tehsil on 115 acres land of value worth crores of rupees belonging to village Panchayat Kardhan adjoining Ambala Cantt about four years ago was confirmed.

According to the reports, not only Panchayat land was encroached by influential land mafias but also Tehsil officials in alliance with the senior administrative and revenue department officials conducted as many as 25 registrations illegally.

The case has been forwarded to State Vigilance Bureau for stern action against all those officials and land mafias involved in this land scam and kept cases dumped in files from one table to another to save corrupt officials and no action was taken against alleged accuse involved in this fraud, Deputy Commissioner Ambala Sharandeep Kaur Brar while talking to media persons said that all illegal registrations have been cancelled and the land would be handed over to village Panchayat.

Sources said when scam exposed then Commissioner Ambala Division Neelam Kasni ordered investigation into fake registrations to then Deputy Commissioner Ambala. Cabinet Health & Sports Minister Anil Vij also recommended action against alleged accused. Information also reveals that no action was taken even by senior official of DC rank when investigation report submitted on June 30, 2016 confirmed the fraud.

When media persons questioned the names of government officials involved in land scam, none of the district administration officer was prepared to disclose the names and ranks of alleged accuse including land mafias involved in land scam.
