Planview opens “Global Capability & Innovation Center” in Bengaluru

Bengaluru :  Planview, the leading platform for connected work from portfolio planning to delivery, Inaugurated  its new and significantly expanded “Planview Global Capability & Innovation Center (CIC)” in Bengaluru. The expansion of Planview footprint in India is a key strategy to support the company’s continued growth, expand its capabilities, and ultimately better serve and support value creation for its global customer base. With over 4,500 customers and 2.6 million users across Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Automotive, Technology and more, Planview has been a leader in the industry for more than 34 years.

Gaurav has identified a series of initiatives that will bolster India’s operations and drive the company’s global growth objectives, some of which have already begun. Among these are Bringing on an experienced leadership team of Shalini Sankarshana, Country Manager & Managing Director of the CIC and India, and Vishal Dhawan, Managing Director and President, APAC.  

Significant talent expansion in the company’s Capability and Innovation Center, increasing headcount and capacity by over 250% in the last two years across strategic functions spanning across Data Science, R&D, Partners/Strategic alliances, Business Applications, Cyber security, Professional Services, Managed Services and Premium Customer Care.

Accelerated investment of more than $125 million USD into headcount and center operating expenses over the course of the next four years to drive a strong growth trajectory in region and support customers across the globe. 

The center inaugurated  Gaurav, along with special guest,  Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi – India American Chamber of Commerce. The new CIC will focus on product innovation and customer services across key solution areas, enabling Planview to support transformative and complex business technology solutions with its client and ecosystem partners across the globe.

In December 2020, Planview was acquired for US$1.6 billion by TPG Capital, the private equity platform of global alternative asset firm TPG, and TA Associates, a leading global growth private equity firm. The company established its APAC headquarters in Singapore in July 2022, and today, Planview has over 1,300 employees across India, APAC, North America, and EMEA.
