Police recovered 20 stolen motorcycles & huge quantity of electric cable from 2 arrested at Ambala

Ambala : CIA Staff Ambala police arrested two persons of a gang from whome recovered 20 stolen motorcycles and huge quantity of electric cable. Among those arrested were Sompal alias Kumpla resideing in jhuggis near Sector near Sector 9 Ambala City permanently staying at Ghasitpur in Sector 44 Ambala City and during preliminary investigation he named his companion Arun alias Anna a resident of  Kharar in Mohali district in Punjab who was arrested on 1st Septemberth August and brought to Ambala on production warrant. Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala while addressing media persons told that  a case was registered at Sector 9 police station Ambala City and during police remand recovered 20 stolen motorcycles from them most of these were stolen at twin city Ambala and few from adjoining Chandigarh, Himachal and Punjab. states.

Both arrested accused arrested on the complaint of Lakshman Singh a resident of Sector 9 Ambala City on August 27, 2023 that his motorcycle was stolen on July 26 night when parked outside his house police started search and reached up to the accused,who also during police remand admitted stolen huge quantity of electric cable during night from houses under construction in as many as nine cases.  Arrested youths also admitted two theft cases in the houses on 14th October 2020 and 5th October 2022, besides Sompal was also declared an offender by the court in a  theft case on 17th July this year and as many as 11 cases were lying pending against him.
