Public bear brunt due to strike by Revenue Staff

Amritsar:  In reaction against the alleged misbehave with Tehsildar (Revenue officer) by the ruling party (AAP) MLA Dinesh Chadha, today Revenue officers went on strike and their subordinate Staff Patwaris also joined the issue.

With the ongoing strike, people who have come to the district Tehsil office were left high and dry as none of the officers was found present in its office. Hundreds of appointments were availed through the online system for the registration of property deed by the purchasers but people were forced to  face hassle, said Mohinderpal Gupta a Vasseeka Nawees by profession. Gupta said that due to the ongoing strike of the revenue department people were suffering a lot as all registration and mutation work of property came to a grinding halt. He said that the deadlock between the Government and Revenue officers should be settled down for the larger interest of the public who were feeling harassed for no fault.
