Ambala police arrested drug suppliers and seized heroine of value Rs 2 crore 15 lakh

Ambala: In view of approaching Lok Sabha polls the activities of drug smugglers have increased. CIA -1 staff of Ambala police on a clue arrested two persons and recovered heroine of value worth Rs 2 crore 15 lakh. A case was registered under NDPS Act by Mahesh Nagar police station Ambala Cantt. Talking to media persons, Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP said that police team led by Inspector Harjinder Singh on a clue started checking near Sai Mandir in Mahesh Nagar area Ambala Cantt on April 12 late night and arrested a youth identified as Rajnish alias Laadi a resident of House No. 626 in Babyal (Ambala Cantt) and during checking in his car having registration no. HR85G 5795 seized drugs and amount worth lakhs of rupees.

SP Randhawa said that during preliminary investigation of five days police remand, Rajnish alias Laadi disclosed the name of Amarjit Singh a resident of Vikas Vihar, Chander Vihar, Nilodhi at Delhi from whom drugs were supplied and arrested him from Murthal in Sonipat district while travelling in a ‘Swift’ car. Meanwhile, Ambala police on a information arrested two woman drug suppliers at Kalka Chowk in Palika Vihar area and recovered from them nearly 20 gm smack. Both admitted that they used to supply drugs in Ambala City since a long time.
