Scientists of BHU-IIT conduct research to get villagers daily products from cow dung & urine 

Dilip Ghosh, the former state president of Bengal BJP and current vice-president of the Party, had said one day gold can obtained from the cow, perhaps this is going to be proved soon. Will the countries economic development of the farming community possible by making durable and everyday products from cow dung and urine ?

Researchers of BHU-IIT (Banaras Hindu University) engaged in research on the orders of the Central Government. They believes that if the research is successful, the economic landscape of rural India can be changed. A recent study, “Scientific Characterization Methods for Better Utilization of Cattle Dung and Urine: A Brief Review” also makes the same claim.

The Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has also provided financial assistance to BHU-IIT for research in this way.

One of the members of the research team and a professor at the School of Biochemical Engineering, IIT (BHU), says that even farmers can benefit financially from without milk cow urine and cow dung.

However, he acknowledges that there are many flaws in this type of scientific research. Their efforts will be to workout from that deficiency. Scientists believe that this research not only increases the overall knowledge, but also opens doors for more progressive research in the future. By ‘profiling’ cow dung and cow urine it is possible to incorporate ancient and traditional rural ideologies into scientific parameters.

Due to which toothpaste, hair oil, shampoo, conditioner etc. made from cow dung and urine can pave the way for economic progress in the village life. In a personal conversation, BHU-IIT teacher said, “We express our gratitude to our director Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain for this kind of research which has an impact on the students of the village”. He also believes that such specialized research will strengthen the utility of cows in India’s rural life and its economy.
