SVB Haryana registered 175 corruption cases against employees in past 9 months

In view of zero tolerance on corruption by ruing government in Haryana, State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) has now started not to spare even senior level government officers allegedly involved in corruption. SVB information reveals that 175 corruption cases have been registered in the state during raids at government offices in past nine months this year, which include highest number of corruption cases registered in CM City Karnal recording highest number corruption cases in the state not only against junior level staff working in government offices but also senior officers, followed by Gurugram ranking second highest  position in registration of corruption cases in past nine months with effect from January till month September this year.

According to information by Abhijit Kapoor Chief SVB Haryana, on getting free hand from Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter SVB conducted raids on corrupt government officers as well as staff working in government offices in the state in view of increasing corruption cases without seeking permission from the higher authorities in the department and take action against corrupts only informing to Deputy Commissioner of the district in order to wipe out increasing corruption in the state, which include senior employees working in Revenue Department, Excise & Taxation Department Municipal Corporation, Haryana State Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, Police Department and above all Engineering Departments in the state.

According to police record, range wise cases in which SVB caught government employees accepting bribe include Karnal range comprising of Panipat and Jind districts registered 34 corruption cases so far during this year  in which senior officers of the rank Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, District Town Planner and ETO were also involved in corrupt practices. In case of Hisar range comprising of Jind, Bhiwani, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts SVB registered 23 corruption cases in past nine months. The number of corruption cases registered in Panchkula range comprising of Yamunanagar district were recorded as 25 cases and in Ambala range comprising of Kaithal and Kurukshetra districts were also recorded 25 cases in this period.

According to SVB information, as many as 35 corruption cases were registered during raids against government employees while accepting bribe this year in Gurugram range comprising of Rewari, Narnaul and Mewat districts this year. In case of Rohtak range comprising of Sonipat and Jhajjar districts SVB have registered 20 corruption cases so far in different raids this year. Information also reveals that 30 corruption cases have been registered so far this year in Faridabad range comprising of Palwal district

According to information, an officer of Commissioner rank accepted huge amount of bribe worth lakhs of rupees was also trapped in vigilance net in Faridabad district. Similarly, an employee of Haryana Police Housing Corporation was arrested while accepting a meager amount of only Rs 500 bribe at Ambala, whereas a police inspector was caught red-handed while accepting bribe for amount worth Rs one lakh for saving a accused from police remand at Gurugram.
