Panchkula: The decision by Haryana state government has given a severe shock to temporary employees working in government departments, according to which they will be removed from sensitive posts in government departments; replaced by permanent employees. The Haryana government has decided to remove contract employees from sensitive posts in government departments, boards and universities in the state, and now only permanent employees will be appointed to these posts. This decision has been taken after getting a large number of complaints of corruption in government departments. The Human Resources Department has directed all departments to ensure deployment of regular permanent employees on all sensitive jobs replacing contract employees with immediate effect, especially on all posts related to finance and human resources.
Information reveals, all contractual employees appointed on sensitive posts in government departments, boards-corporations and universities in Haryana will be removed and posted elsewhere. Only permanent employees and officers will be appointed, since the state government has taken seriously the growing complaints of corruption due to the deployment of temporary employees on public dealing and sensitive posts. The Human Resources Department under the Chief Secretary has directed all administrative secretaries, heads of departments, managing directors and chief administrators of boards and corporations, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and registrars of all universities to identify sensitive posts and deploy regular employees on such positions.
Information reveals that It has been said in the written orders that as per the instructions issued on August 13, 2021, the charge of posts related to sensitive and financial matters should be given only to regular employees. Under no circumstances should contract employees be appointed to these posts. The work of Human Resources and Accounts is a major and important work of all departments and organizations, despite this people employed on contract basis are still being employed on sensitive posts at various places, which is a violation of government instructions. Contract employees should be removed from all branches related to Human Resources and Accounts and given to Group A, B, C and equivalent employees only working on a regular basis.
