BBMB Crossed 12000 Million Units Generation – Produced 28.63% above target

Chandigarh: Bhakra Beas Management Board has generated 12,000 million units of energy today on 25.03.2020 at 6.00 am from all its Power Houses against target of 9329 million units fixed by the Central Electricity Authority, Government of India. Till date, BBMB power houses have generated 28.63% more energy than the target. This has been possible due to judicious operation of reservoirs as well as efficient operation and maintenance of the generating units in its six power plants. Plant load availability of generating machines in BBMB Power Houses has been 98.85% which is one of the highest in the country.
Sh. D.K. Sharma, Chairman, BBMB congratulated all the employees of BBMB for their untiring efforts to surpass the target and to maintain highest standards of operation and maintenance of its generating units. He asked BBMB employees to maintain essential services during this present unprecedent situation created due to COVID-19. He also asked them to take all possible precautions and wished them and their families good health.
