Chandigarh to host 9th edition of TiECON on March 2

‘Building Global thrust’ & showcasing tricity ‘s entrepreneurial talent on global stage

Chandigarh:  With the aim to project, explore and showcase Chandigarh’s immense entrepreneurial capability and success on global scale, the much-awaessay of TiECON Chandigarh will commence here from March 2. Deservingly billed as North India’s largest entrepreneurial conclave, TiECON extends a viable platform to budding entrepreneurial talent while marking Chandigarh tricity presence on the global map. The event to be attended by industry experts coming from every corner of the world will witness engaging discussions on the entrepreneurial Industry issues and concerns with a promise to set the narrative for state and national government towards their eventual policy decisions.

The event would encompass the spirit of this year’s theme of ‘Building Global Thrust’ and the specially curated 9th edition of TiECON Chandigarh would aim to highlight the massive reach and potential of entrepreneurial and startup ecosystems to continuously sculpt new and exciting opportunities and delivery systems for enhancing the outlook of our state and national economy. Given the exciting global outlook towards India especially with after-Covid recovery by critical sectors besides Industry, our nation today is poised for incremental growth which has to come through IT, President TiE Chandigarh Harit Mohan said here while setting the tone for the much-anticipated calendar event.

Divulging the event profile and list of stars adorning the stage this year when TiE Chandigarh completes 21 years of inception, Harit said 2024 is extra special as we navigate this exciting landmark in our enduring journey to keep performing our best by infusing synergy and incentive to business models and new beginnings. Tejveer Singh , Additional Chief Secretary and Industries and Commerce and Information Technology ,  Govt of Punjab DPS Kharbanda , CEO Invest Punjab and Director Department of Industris and Commerce , Govt of Punjab  and  has kindly consented to attend the event and share his thoughts, added  Harit Mohan .

Underscoring the immediate impetus of TiE Chandigarh’s ecosystem on Punjab’s Industry potential, former President TiE Chandigarh Robin Aggarwal stated that they have been engaged with StartUp Punjab to encourage entrepreneurship in Punjab on a wide spectrum of incentives amongst the 33 participating States/UT’s in States Ranking Framework 2022 conducted by Department for Promotion of Industry and InternalTrade (DPIIT) recently this year under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Aggarwal said that the event will be spread across various sessions at the ‘Hyatt Regency’ Chandigarh and would be attended by illustrious array of speakers including Anand Deshpande, Founder And Chairman Presistent Systems, Shiv Khera , Founder Qualified Learning Systems , USA, Ankur Warikoo , Founder Webveda  and  Harpal S Sokhi , Celebrity Chef.

Informing the media during the press conference, Satish K Arora Vice President, TiE Chandigarh Chapter stated, “In line with TiE Chandigarh’s mandate, pertinently the event aims to provide mentorship to budding startup enthusiasts and for this dedicated discussions have been listed which are likely to be full houses this time as well. Besides the thought speakers, a carefully curated list of more than 1500 participants and around 80 renowned speakers who will be interacting with the aspiring entrepreneurs during the event. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiECON Chandigarh’s prime focus is to nurture a pool of future leaders,   Satish added that the line-up of the speakers includes public leaders, government leaders, diplomats, entrepreneurs, eco system builders, top notch entrepreneurs, mentors, innovators, investors, startups, educationists, journalists, policy makers.
