Covid-19: India records 13166 new cases and 302 deaths during last 24 hours

New Delhi:  India recorded a decline in fresh Corona infections at 13166 during last 24 hours, as compared to to yesterday’s 14148 cases said Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Corona virus claimed 302 lives in the same time span, pushing the death toll to 513226. Meanwhile the active Covid cases have reduced to 134235 which constitute 0.31% of the country’s total cases.

26988 patients recovered in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 42246884. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.49%.

During last 24 hours 1030016 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total number of tests to over 76.45 crore. The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.48% while daily positivity rate has risen to 1.28%.

With the administration of over 32.04 lakhs vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid inoculation coverage has reached 176.86 crore as per the provisional reports till 7 am today.

More than 11.02 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories, said Union Health Ministry.
