Criminals either leave crimes or leave Haryana state: DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor

Ambala : Shatrujeeet Kapoor new Director General Police ,Haryana took charge from from former Director General Police P.K. Aggarwal on Wednesday, visited Home & Health Minister Anil Vij at his camp office Ambala on Thursday. While talking to media persons here Kapoor said that among his priorities include reforms in nearly 55000 police personnel working in Haryana state, besides he would hold improvement in law and order in the state, bring transparency in work, would arrest criminal activities all over in the state so that females in the the state may feel themselves safe and secure. He warned that criminal should either leave crimes or leave Haryana state immediately.

Kapoor prior to present new portfolio was Director General Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the state and as many as 44 senior officers of IAS and IPS officers remained on his vigilance radar against whome corruption cases were registered by him. Information reveals that Shatrujeet Kapoor took charge as vigilance chief in the state  on 3rd September 2021 and took action against 56 gazetted officersand and 294 non-gazetted officers so far, who were arrested by the police allegedly involved in corruption. While he was ACB chief he arrested nearly 200 corrupt officials rede-handed while collecting bribe, whereas nearly a dozen cases are presently in Punjab and High Court under trial.The newly appointed DGP has close contacts with Kurukshetra from where he studied Engineering education, did B. Tech in 1988. Sources reveal that police staff in all police stations across tha state have become alert after the appointment of Kapoor as DGP Haryana since he doesn’t spare corrupt people at any cost.
