First Edition of Great Bengaluru 10K all set to Launch Jan 8

Bengaluru Jan 04 : “1st  edition of The Great Bengaluru 10k” all set to launch on 8th of Jan 2023, as over 7,500 runner has already registered with and many more waiting  to get their name logged in to the roaster and become a part of this sport extravaganza, Announced during the preconference and releasing the Jersy by event Brand Ambassador and former Athlete Anju Bobby George along with former Athlete Reeth Abraham and K Govindaraju-MLC, President, Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA) said.

Event to be flagged-off by Narayana Gowda, Karnataka Minister of Sericulture and Dept of Youth Empowerment and Sports the event will see the runners taking part in three different categories, Timed 10K,timed 5K and Fun 3k.

Organised by the Karnataka Olympic Association and dept of Youth empowerment and Sports, this event is officiated by KOA. The run will start off at the iconic Kanteerava stadium with the route winding past historic landmarks like Vidhan soudha and cubbon park and M G Road, said in press conference.

The event has also managed to raise a whooping 50 lakhs donation for Shankara Cancer Foundation and event witness team of Visually impaired runners running along with their Guides.

 K Govindaraju, president KOA, said, “We are delighted to launch the “1st edition of the Great Bengaluru 10k” , We have received an overwhelming response from runners in the capital, we look forward to  this event growing as an annual run to celebrate health and fitness”

Brand Ambassador of the event former Athlete Anju Bobby George said, “It is great opportunity to start the New Year with running event. The run offers a really good opportunity shatter their own records”.
