Housing, free education, employment, industry among top top priorities in Haryana: Khatter

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter said, Department of Housing Board will construct 20000 new residential houses under Prime Minister Awas Yozna in Haryana state during year 2021-22 to meet housing problem in the state. He said, decision has been taken to provide free education to students up to class XII and provide employment to nearly50000 youths in private sector in coming one year.

Khatter said, state government aims to increase female police force in the state to arrest increasing crime against women which was increased to 8.59% in the year 2020 from 5.79% in 2014 as compared to male police force and likely to rise to 15% during the year 2021-22. He said, Haryana state government is going to establish female IRB Battalion at Gurugram and a training centre at Hisar this year. Expressing deep concern over fast increasing cases of cyber crimes Khatter said the first training centre in this regard and a digital investigation Centre will be opened in the state to control cyber crime cases, besides establishing a Crime Scientific Laboratory at Madhuban in Karnal district to control crimes with tracking bar coding system. He said, there is a proposal to set up 11 new police stations and 6 new cyber crime police stations in the state, He announced, five years relief in age to candidates belonging to backward classes in police recruitments this year.

Khatter said, Kurukshetra and Rohtak Universities in the state has decided to provide free education from Nursery to class XII  under a roof in government schools dividing education system in three stages from class I to III, class IV to VIII and class IX to XII. He said, efforts will be made for improvement in education system introducing technical education in the syllabus from beginning to increase employment opportunities. He added, new education  policy will provide special identification to youths for which amount worth Rs 700 crore has been approved  to provide IT based education and another Rs 192 crore has been approved for education system in stages.

Projecting future road map on industrial development and employment in the state, Khatter said there is a proposal for investment worth Rs One Lakh crore to bring new industry in automobile, light engineering, agriculture equipment, food products, textiles, garments, electronic system design and manufacturing, defence & aero-space manufacturing, pharmaceuticals & medical equipment, chemical & petro-chemical sectors  in the state and creating sources of employment opportunities for five lakh youths in the state.

Among other proposed developments in Haryana state, chief minister said, there is a proposal to develop two Animal Science Centres at Sirsa and Bhiwani, develop dams on Yamuna, Renuka and Kishau rivers to meet shortage of water, upgrade 1135 Aanganwari Centres as Play Schools in first phase and 2865 such centres in the second phase. Khatter said, state government has already approved a proposal worth Rs 180 crore to set up a Food Park to be developed by HAFED at IMT Rohtak to benefit farmers and provide employment opportunities to youths in the state. He said, amount worth Rs 355 crore has been sanctioned for sugar mill at Panipat and Rs 263 crore for sugar mill at Karnal to increase their production capacity.

Khatter said, proposal for lift irrigation system has been finalized for Rewari, Mahindergarh, Charkhi Dadri and Bhiwani districts to increase production of crop on which amount worth Rs 200 core will be spent by the government.. He added, 1000 re-charge bore-well are being constructed in these districts to increase water level underground helping to increase growth of crop in 8000 acres area, besides construction of Mewat Feeder canal having 100 cusec capacity for irrigation of agriculture crop in Mewat area. Chief Minister said that there is a proposal to develop a Central Business Hub in 1000 acre area at Manesar in Guugram district by Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation having connectivity with all prominent towns in NCR area on Delhi-Mumbai, Vadodra Express Way. He said, there is also a proposal to develop two Film City near Global City Gurugram and Pinjore.
