Racket suspected involved in fake surrogacy with hired uterus in police net

UP police started investigation in a case of surrogated mothers hiring their uterus giving rise to cases of human smuggling, especially new born babies and females and large number of such cases are hitting headlines in newspapers quite often and such illegal activities are turning to lucrative business in the country. Agra police recently took into custody a woman Neelam resident of Faridabad identifying herself working in a private hospital as a nurse and going to start a Mother & Child Care Centre at Girdhawar Enclave in 80 yards area but her hopes were duped when building under unauthorized construction was demolished by Town Planner in the absence approval sought from the government.

According to U.P police, Neelam suspected involved in illegal surrogacy cases was taken into custody with the help of her mobile phone location on June 19, 2020 when she was travelling on Agra-Lucknow Express way along with two females Ruby and Vimal and three males Rahul, Pradeep and Amit residents of Faridabad and Delhi with three new born. During interrogation Neelam told that these are cases of surrogacy of two females Ruby and Vimal both surrogate mothers in which Ruby gave birth to a male child and Vimla delivered twins a male and female child.

Information reveals, female uteruses are readily available on hire also known as surrogacy usually starts from IVF centres run by gynaecologists or experts in venereal disorders. According to investigation officer, they are investigating cases related to Faridabad and Delhi yet to find from which IVF centres surrogacy of both women was conducted since complaints of rackets involved in human smuggling in the area have been received. Investigation revealed that Neelam was involved in regular OPD in case of Ruby and Vimal  at a clinic since both conceived pregnancy till deliveries at a private nursing home and amount worth Rs one lakh towards medical expenses  in these cases were also transferred through bank in a single account and all records as regard ID, Aadhar card and statement of doctor performed surgical deliveries in both cases were collected by the police raising a question under which circumstances Neelam took care of both Ruby and Vimal since they became pregnant till deliveries child and what was the basic reason both became surrogated mothers.  Not only this, the investigating police team failed to find out in which hospital Neelam was working as a nurse as claimed by her, police hopes to solve the mystery soon.
