Ray of hope for treatment of corona positive patients: PGIMER Director

A ray of hope is seen in the treatment of COVID-19 for which a team pf doctors from PGIMER-Chandigarh is woking to achieve success in the treatment of patients suffering from corona virus all over the world in-spite of the fact there is no specific treatment for this disorder so far claimed large number of lives. According to Prof. Jagat Ram Director PGIMER, a team of doctors is working on it hoping satisfactory results by injecting micro-bacterium (MW) vaccine usually used for lepracy and patients suffering from neumonia to corona patients and a trial has been made on corona positive patients admitted in COVIND-19 ward in the hospital for three to four days exhibited satisfactory results during this trial.

Padam Shree awardee Dr Digambar Bohera Head of Pulmonary Department at PGI told that MW vaccine are safe when applied on corona positive patients and good results have been obtained during this trial and a team of doctors is seriously working on it expecting good results during preliminary trials on corona positive patients, however sure success to cure disease cannot be guaranteed at this stage. He said, team of doctors are yet examining to find out duration for requirement of oxygen or ventilator by a corona positive patients after applying MW vaccine.

Meanwhile, another Dr Aashutosh Aggarwal of Palmonary Department also working on this project for the treatment of corona positive patients told that trial for the treatment by MW vaccine still going on  and we are hopeful to achieve success and MW vaccine would bring satisfactory results to cure corona positive patients. .
